The Sloppy Tuna

Montauk’s latest Hot Spot is called “The Sloppy Tuna”!

Zucaro Construction was selected to build the new look for Sloppy Tuna with a completely new upper level of this Beach Front Restaurant-Bar & Club.

We totally removed the original upper level and built a new one with all new amenities, including an indoor/outdoor bar out to the upper level deck area, a new restaurant area, and new restrooms, all this while keeping the youthful, trendy and casual atmosphere of the Sloppy Tuna. Rocky’s Roof deck on the second floor is completely new. Minor renovations were made to the first floor and we updated the kitchen facility.

Expansive windows keep the beautiful Beach Front view available to all. The new

Beach Front Bar and outdoor patio is a perfect addition for the Montauk social scene.

We started the Sloppy Tuna renovation in March of 2012 and they were ready and open for business for Memorial Day weekend!

LA Fitness – Commack

California based LA Fitness is an International Health Club Chain with locations across the United States and Canada. They are expanding on Long Island with the most recent location to be added on Veteran’s Highway in Commack.

Zucaro Construction was chosen to build this new 25,000 square foot location. LA Fitness is known for its state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. Previously Border’s Books occupied this location. We had to demolish the existing interior and are currently building-out the interior to retrofit the space with what is to be the new fitness facility. Renovation of the exterior façade will give this location the new LA Fitness look. This location will have the most up to date equipment in the industry as well as locker room amenities including a sauna.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House

With such a familiar name in the restaurant industry, Ruth’s Chris Steak House was a project we were excited and honored to embrace. This high-end restaurant presented a challenging project, as the site for the restaurant was in an office building with no existing restaurant facilities.

We incorporated a full-scale kitchen into the office building, while paying special attention to keeping the integrity of the Ruth’s Chris Steak House brand. The specialty finishes were custom built-in millwork and furniture.

We take pride in our work and as a result, after many years in operation, the Ruth’s Chris location in Garden City is still elegant and in beautiful condition.

Miller’s Ale House

Zucaro Construction was selected to build the first New York location for Millers Ale House, a Florida based Restaurant chain. Knowing the importance of this responsibility, we made several trips to many of their Florida locations to ensure the continuity of the concept, style and finishes.

We fully demolished the existing building prior to initiating the ground-up construction of all interior and exterior work of this new 12,000 square foot restaurant. The venue now includes two bars, a pool table/game area, and an extensive dining area. Being a sports bar, there are 50 television screens, as well as a state of the art sound system/control room for the entire restaurant.

From its opening day, the Levittown location of Millers Ale House has been a home run for this expanding chain of sports bar/family restaurants.

Westbury Theatre Renovation

Built in the 1920’s, the original Westbury Theatre was a replica of a Medieval Theatre in England, making it the only theatre of its kind in North America. The theatre, originally opened as the Calderone Theatre, was in a state of total disrepair. Given its historical significance for the Village of Westbury, the renovation was vital, especially since the Village of Westbury, itself, has undergone its own transformation in the last 10 years.

Hoffman Grayson Architects in Huntington was chosen for the design of the renovation; we, at Zucaro Construction, are the General Contractors. This new theatre will be an 800 seat Dinner Theatre that will also have live performances, theatrical productions, as well as movies.

We are excited to be a part of this historically significant project in the heart of Nassau County.

Swirls & Twirls: Frozen Yogurt- Three locations

Swirls & Twirls is a self-serve frozen yogurt chain, new to Long Island. We have completed three locations, Massapequa and West Islip and Levittown.

The décor is bright, colorful and creative. Incorporated in the build-out is the self-serve dispensing equipment for the 16 flavors of yogurt and the toppings area, free Wi-Fi, and an excellent sound system to encourage the patrons to stay a while. We have worked with the owner to bring both locations well within his budget.

The selections of yogurts include Kosher, gluten-free, non-fat, low fat and no sugar added, as well as traditional frozen yogurt.

Nathan’s Coney Island

Fast Food Chains

With over 25 years of Restaurant construction experience behind us, Zucaro Construction is second to none in this category. The design and style of these restaurants are familiar to all, and the ability to put “a lot of restaurant” into limited space requires an expertise that few possess. While some would consider such projects a daunting task, Zucaro Construction welcomes the challenge and we are very proud to be able to offer the experience needed and proudly stand by our long list of completed projects.
